Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about PFSVC — how it works, what it costs, and how to use your credential.

What is PFSVC?

PFSVC (Pakistan Freelance & Skills Verification Council) is Pakistan's independent verification body for freelancers and remote professionals. It provides human-assessed skills credentials through a rigorous 4-step process. It is not a government body — it operates independently to give international hiring managers an objective, third-party credential they can trust.

How does PFSVC verify freelancers?

Verification happens in four human-driven steps:

  1. Identity & Document Review — Government-issued ID is cross-checked against official records.
  2. Skills Assessment — A domain-specific written test conducted by certified examiners.
  3. Human Interview — A live 15-minute video call with senior industry professionals in your field.
  4. Seal Issuance — Upon clearance, your official PFSVC seal is issued and publicly searchable.

No algorithms. No shortcuts. Every step is conducted by a human.

How much does PFSVC verification cost?

Basic — PKR 1,499/year: Official seal, identity verification, skills assessment, 15-minute human interview, and public directory listing.

Professional — PKR 9,999/year: Everything in Basic, plus priority review within 7 days, full skills report, digital badge assets for LinkedIn/Upwork/Fiverr, featured directory profile, and annual re-verification.

Enterprise — Custom: Bulk team verification for 5+ members with dedicated support and API access.

How long does verification take?

Basic plan takes up to 14 business days. Professional plan members receive priority review within 7 business days. Enterprise clients get 48-hour turnaround.

Is PFSVC a government body?

No. PFSVC is an independent, privately-operated institution. It has no affiliation with PSEB, the Ministry of IT, or any government agency. That independence is intentional — it's what makes the credential credible to international clients.

How is PFSVC different from PSEB?

PSEB handles your legal and tax standing with the Pakistani government — registration, IT export status, tax exemptions. PFSVC handles your professional credibility with the international market — skills verification, identity confirmation, and a public credential. They serve completely different purposes. Most serious freelancers benefit from both.

Can I add my PFSVC badge to LinkedIn, Upwork, or Fiverr?

Yes. Professional plan members receive digital badge asset files specifically formatted for LinkedIn, Upwork, and Fiverr. Basic members receive the official seal and public verification ID, which can be referenced in bios and proposals.

How do I verify if someone has a PFSVC seal?

Enter their badge ID on the public verification page at pfsvc.com.pk. Every verification is confirmed within 24 hours. No login required.

What happens if I don't pass verification?

You'll receive detailed feedback on what fell short. Professional plan members get a full skills report. Basic members get a general summary. You can re-apply after 60 days.

Why do international clients trust PFSVC?

Because platform ratings can be gamed, portfolios can be fabricated, and there's no other independent third party in Pakistan who confirms skills through a human process. PFSVC fills that gap — human-assessed, publicly verifiable, institutionally governed.
